Abstract

A base of Al50%-Ni50% metal was reinforced using TiO2 with different weight percentages of 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 wt.%. A flame thermal spray device was used to prepare samples those were sintered at 1000°C for 90 min. It was found that the best mixing ratio was 20 wt.%. After thermal sintering, the results of the SEM showed a mesh and crystalline consistency at this ratio, which shows that all properties were improved at that ratio, while the microhardness at the same ratio was 693 kg/mm2. It was found that the minimum sliding wear is 1.01×10−7 g/cm, while the results of thermal tests revealed that the best mixing ratio is 25 wt.%. Following thermal sintering, it gave thermal conductivity of 125.43 W/m.K, heat capacity of 713.881 J/kg.K, thermal diffusion of 0.424 mm2/s, thermal flow of 701.711 W.S1/2/m2.K and thermal resistance of 0.0543 m2.K/W.
